Notice for riders! – Already riders from 5 countries have registered – Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Lithuania & Moldova!
Event will start at 11:00 with slalom race (during slalom race no downhill practice will be allowed, so please respect this)! Slalom race will end around 15:30, when those participating in downhill can arrive and check the course. At 16:00 riders meeting will be held and we will start with practice (bus will be taking riders up after each run, so you will have enough practice!). After that we will have qualification runs at around 18:00 and then finals which will end at around 22:30-23:00! So please note that supermarkets are closing at 22:00 so please by food and other necessary things BEFORE!
On Sunday at 10:00 we will have riders meeting about skate&shoot and the race will end at approx. 14:30-15:00!

On 14-15th September, in Madona city, at the sports and recreation complex “SmeceresSils” a two day longboard event will happen: On Saturday starting from 11:00 Latvian championships in slalom disciplines will happen. Later in the afternoon, around 16:00 practice runs for last race of Latvian downhill longboarding series 2013 will start with qualifying runs starting around 18:00 and finals right after with artificial lighting and the big final in OPEN group at around 23:00!
On Sunday for the first time in Europe skate&shoot race will be held, which will be mix of longboarding and biathlon – till today only Whistler longboarding festival has held a race like this! So have it is going to happen? One by one longboarder will do around 1,2km distance which will mainly consist of downhill then longboarder arrives in the shooting range! Longboarder makes 5 shots – with every shot he missed, he must skate a penalty lap (every pariticipant will have 5 test shots and 5 during the competition with the help of biathlon instructor). After that he skates till the finish line nearby – a perfect way to combine longboarding with shooting!
Of course, the main race will be the downhill and hopefully as usual riders from other countries will also participate. Last years longboarding series also finished with a race in Madona – race in artificial lighting and bad weather was the best of the year!

The race course: This year the race course will be a little different and a bit more difficult. The course is 1,4km with top speed less than 60km/h but at the same time quite interesting and tehnical. Especially in the dark!

As this will be the last race of Latvian downhill longboarding series 2013 the competition for a higher place at the end of the year gets even thougher – standings.

We remind that downhill longboarding event can be held on wet surface!
Staying overnight – night between 14 & 15th September riders are more than welcome to stay in one of “Smeceres Sils” guesthouses (with TV,showers etc.). Cost is 7ls (10 euro) per person or 5ls (8 euro) for juniors. The number of places is limited, so please mark if you are willing to stay in the guesthouse! Tent place – 3eur.
