On 7-8th May in Madona, ‘’Smeceres Sils’’ sports and recreation complex annual international longboarding event will take place! For two days we will rent ”Smecers Sils” just for longboarders – also in downhill the bus will take riders up to the start!  On the first day riders will compete in downhill – everbody will race in OPEN group, but we will also have seperate groups for juniors, masters and ladies!
The course is the easiest that we have, so this is a perfect place to start your downhill adventure

On the second day already traditional skate&shoot and slide jam events will take place!

13:00-15:00 practice

15:00-16:30 qualification

17:00-19:30 finals

8^th May, Sunday

10:20-11:00 shooting practice

11:00-12:30 skate&shoot

12:30-13:00 slide jam

13:15-13:30 award ceremony

Obligatory safety equipment – half shell helmet, pads (knees, elbows) and gloves (we recommend to use leather suits and fullface helmets if possible)!

Entry fee (includes entry to all events + event shirt):

Juniors – 20 Eur

Others – 30 Eur

If you register after 04.05.2015. + 5 Eur

You can choose to participate only in one day, but the entry fee will stay the same!

Riders have the possibility to stay in guesthouse next to race place – it costs 11 Eur per person (if you choose this option, please mark it during registration – it is a limited offer)!

Registration for race in Madona will start on 19th of april.

Last weekend the second race of Latvian downhill series 2015 was held in Madona city biathlon complex – ‘’Madona longboard challenge’’!

On the first day riders from Latvia and Estonia competed in downhill.

In qualification Gustavs Gailītis was unstoppable (1:22:15) with almost 3 second lead over Kaspars Balamovskis (1:25:13). Third was Alvils Bijons (1:25:53) fallowed by Jānis Kundziņš and Toms Dreiblats.

For ladies last two years champion Elīza Marija Gailīte was the fastest just 0,8 sec in front of Lauma Stepanova. Third Liene Bērziņa.

For Masters Andrejs Solncevs surprised everbody winning the qualification.

In finals Emīls Ieviņš won the junior title, Edžus Konošonoks won the Masters division (quali winner Solncevs crashed in semifinal), but for ladies Stepanova won with just less than a meter in front of Gailīte.

In Open the final was super dramatic. Gustavs Gailītis was in the lead from start till the end & Toms Dreiblats grabbed 2nd spot while brothers Klāvs & Kaspars Balamovskis crashed, but Klāvs managed to get his first podium!
On the second day the skate&shoot aka longboarding biathlon was held – for ladies 3rd place went to Arta Skudrēna, 2nd to Elīza Marija Gailīte & 1st to Elza Volonte!

For guys Dreiblats managed to again grab a podium spot (this time 3rd place), Ralfs Gailītis was 2nd and Edžus Konošonoks was the winner!

In slide jam Alvils Bijons was judged as the most skilled rider!
