On 1 & 2 June  in Madona, ‘’Smeceres Sils’’ sports and recreation complex annual international longboarding event ‘’Madona longboard challenge’’ will take place! For two days we will rent ”Smeceres Sils” just for longboarders – also in downhill the bus will take riders up to the start!  On the first day riders will compete in downhill – everybody will race in OPEN group, but we will also have separate groups for juniors, masters and ladies!
The course is the easiest that we have, so this is a perfect place to start your downhill adventure!

On the second day already traditional skate&shoot and slide jam events will take place!

14:30-15:45 qualification
16:15-18:30 finals

Obligatory safety equipment – half shell helmet, pads (knees, elbows) and gloves (we recommend to use leather suits and fullface helmets if possible)!
Entry fee (includes entry to all disciplines + event shirt):

Others – 35 Eur
If you register after 28.05.2019. + 10 Eur

You can choose to participate only in one day, but the entry fee will stay the same!
Riders have the possibility to stay in guesthouse next to race place – it costs 13 Eur per person (if you choose this option, please mark it during registration – it is a limited offer)!

 Last weekend in Madona the first race of Latvian downhill series started with ”Madona longboard challenge”.

In ladies group Lauma Stepanova took the win, Liene Dzīvīte and Natālija Tanne were close behind.
In junior group Lithuanian Tomas Augulis was unstoppable, beating local riders Kristers Ivanovs, Emīls Apsītis, Gustavs Rullis in a tight final.
In Masters group race was very intense, but once again Lithuanian rider won – this time legendary Lukas Kirkilionis. Second was Mikus Rullis, third Darius Stankeivičius.

In Open group 45 riders fought for victory.
Small final for 5-8th place was won by Toms Dreiblats, fallowed by Klāvs Balamovskis, Ralfs Gailītis and Gustavs Zēgners.
In grand final the best guys were on the start line – qualification winner Mārtiņš Kivlinieks, 2016 series vicechampion Kārlis Karlsons, 2016 ”Madona longboard challenge” winner Edvardas Lunys and 2012-2015 ”Madona longboard challenge” winner Gustavs Gailītis.
Kivlinieks took his maiden win, Gailītis was second and Karlsons third.
Skate&shoot event was held as well, there also Kivlinieks was the best, but for ladies Stepanova triumphed. 
In slide jam win was given to Tomas Augulis.

Race was sponsored by ”RipoShop.lv”, ”Born to Ride”, ”Ponolau”, ”Sunhill bags”, festival ”Playground”, ”Pica LuLū”, ”NRJ tipography”.

Series will continue on 10-11 June wih ”Priekuļi cup” at Cēsis Olympic center.
