Last weekend officialy the 5th season of downhill longboading racing in Latvia started with ‘’Longboarding chill on the hill’’ racein Sigulda.
Although last years Latvian downhill longboarding series (LDLS) champion Jānis Jirgens was not present because of an injury, the riderlist was strong with few guests from Estonia as well.
The race season started with this race for 2nd year in a row – the head wind already last year showed that results here can be really unrepdicatbale.
Already in the qualification last years winner of ‘’Longboarding chill on the hil’’ Marks Kiseļovs set a time of 1:22:42 leaving LDLS 2012 & 2013 champion Gustavs Gailītis almost 2seconds behind. 3rd in quali was Kaspars Balamovskis, 4th Jānis Kundziņš.

After the qualis first the winners for juniors, ladies, Masters, Rookies were deremined.
For juniors Emīls Ieviņš won, but for ladies Lauma Stepanova, leaving last years 2 fastest girls of LDLS – Elza Volonte, Elīza Marija Gailīte behind in 2nd and 3rd.
Masters group was once again dominated by Ģirts Vārtiņš, fallowed by Artjoms Smirnovs and Andrejs Solncevs.
In Rookie group guests from Estonia showed a surprise by Fred Peetersoo getting 1st and Karli Kontar 4th. Between them Artūrs Pavlovs got 2nd and Kristaps Ozols 3rd.
In Open group final already after the start Gailītis got the lead fallowed by Kiseļovs and Kundziņš.
Soon both of them overtook Gailītis grabbing first 2 spots – win for Kiseļovs, 2nd for Kundziņš, 3rd for Gailītis.

Next LDLS 2015 race will be held in Madona cituy on 6-7 June – last year riders from Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus, Italy participated there, so this year another great international
