‘’Priekuļi cup 2018’’ was the last race of Latvian downhill longboarding series – fastest guys from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia took part for an awesome weekend of tight racing.
After qualification, the slide jam was held and Kārlis Karlsons was crowned the king of the hill.
In juniors Ralfs Andersons took his 3rd win of the season securing series title. Emīls Apsītis was 2nd, but Kajus Kaušinis 3rd.
In women Lauma Stepanova dominated the race, fallowed by Liene Dzīvīte and Baiba Grunsberga – Lauma becomed the series champion!
In Masters the favourite Mikus Rullis was unstopable, but the fight for rest of the podium places was too intense – rest of the finalists all crashed out on the last turn, therefore Edžus Konošonoks was awarded 2nd place, Artis Bokāns 3rd place and Darius Stankevičius 4th.
In Open finals both season favourites Ralfs Gailītis and Gustavs Gailītis took and early lead and finished less than a meter apart – Gustavs took the win and series title for 6th time in 7 years!
Kārlis Karlsons took the 3rd spot of the podium, but Klāvs Balamovskis was 4th.

It was the 30th race in Latvian downhill longboarding history – huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported or helped this dream of downhill in Latvia become reality!
