The main day of the event was race day – sun was shinning, “Battery energy” drinks were consumed even faster, number of falls doubled & riders showed their best!
In ladies final Anna Gailite won, leaving her sister Eliza Gailite in 2nd and Elza Volonte in 3rd. In junior group 2nd year in a row Karlis Karlsons won, 2nd was Roberts Vitkovskis. In ‘’Masters’’ group, where riders in the age of 35 and more competed, Lithuanian guest Lukas Kirkilionis won, 2nd was Artjoms Smirnovs and 3rd Ģirts Vārtiņš.
In the fight for the “Priekuli cup 2013” semi finals where super intense from the first semi final winner of qualification Gustavs Gailītis and Kaspars Balamovskis, leaving Edijs Jermačenko and Alvils Bijons a chance to race in consolation final.
In 2nd semi final Kirkilionis made a big surprise by winning and leaving behind Jānis Jirgens, Āris Muitinieks and Arguts Skudrēns. Kirkilionis and Jirgens advanced to the final.
In consolation final Muitinieks won, leaving Jermačenko in 6th, Skudrēns in 7th an Bijons in 8th.
After the start of final run, Kirkilionis was in the lead, fallowed by Jirgens, Balamovskis and Gailitis. After first turn Gailitis was already 2nd and after 180 degree turn the new leader. In the second part of the race Jirgens tried to pass Kirkilionis from right, and after a moment Balamovskis tried to do the same from left as well. In the narrow Priekuļi race course they touched and fell, losing the chance of winning – 1st Gailitis, 2nd Kirkilionis, 3rd Jirgens, 4th Balamovskis!
